The firm's founder, Steve Verbit, has over thirty years experience in business and environmental litigation in federal and state judicial and administrative proceedings throughout the State of Florida.

Steve earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1984 from the State University of New York at Albany, and his law degree, with honors, in 1987, from the National Law Center at George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.

In addition to practicing law full-time, Steve was an adjunct professor at the St. Thomas University Law School, in Miami, Florida, from 1991 to 1993. He has published articles about
new developments in environmental law in leading national trade journals. He has authored course materials for, lectured at, and organized Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Florida Bar. Steve was officially recognized for five years of service as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem in child custody cases. In addition, Steve served as an officer and a director of a non-profit adult literacy organization based in Fort Lauderdale.
